About the Foundation

Saara and Björn Wahlroos foundation was established in 2002 to support and encourage research and debate on financial and relevant societal issues.

The purpose of Saara and Björn Wahlroos foundation is to promote and support:

  • Outstanding research in economics and financial economics, with a particular emphasis on fundamental research and market-based solutions;

  • Contributions to and active participation in political and societal debates, as well as positions intended to support a societal development based on a market economy with conservative Anglo-Saxon values;

  • Other significant contributions to societal development based on individual freedom and traditional education.

The foundation can also receive donations in support of its work and is registered as a charitable institution under Finnish law.
